Quality Paddock Raised Chicken Meat
Each flock of chickens have their own 3 ha paddock, so no shortage of space! They are introduced into the paddock at one end and gradually the shelters, waterers and feeders are moved to the other end at which time the chickens are processed. This ensures fresh pasture is always available and there is no build up of manure. Within each paddock are numerous saltbushes and Tagasaste (lucerne tree) for them to forage on as well as the pasture. We are also trialing several other edible bushes. The bushes and remnant tussocks make great shelter for the chickens as well.
Our chickens are raised in an environment that allows them total freedom to express their natural characteristics. As uninhibited birds, they scratch, roam and sunbathe at leisure allowing them to develop the way they should. This creates a table bird of exceptional quality.

Our farm is situated near Digby. Unfortunately, we do not accept visitors for biosecurity reasons. We will keep you up to date with what is going on through our blog and photos.
